Boom Boom Shrimp Recipe

Serving Size: 5 shrimp and 1 oz sauce each

Servings Per Recipe: 6



  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons SPLENDA® Sugar Blend
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon fresh garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes


  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, whisked
  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs
  • ½ cup corn starch
  • 1 ½ lbs. 16-20 size shrimp, peeled and deveined, tail off.
  • Vegetable oil for frying



Combine all sauce ingredients and whisk until combined; refrigerate until ready for use.


Using three bowls, put flour into one, whisked eggs into another and mix the panko and cornstarch into the third.

Dip a few shrimp at a time into flour to coat, then into the egg, then into the breadcrumb mixture. Coat the shrimp well and shake off any excess.

In a large sauce pan, heat the oil until it reaches 375°F.

Fry in batches (about 6 shrimp at a time) until shrimp are golden brown (about 2 minutes).

Using a slotted spoon, scoop out shrimp and place on a paper towel lined baking sheet to cool

After all shrimp are fried, place into a large mixing bowl and toss with the sauce.

Serve immediately.
